How to use the free Saudi IPO readiness check
The check is a self-assessment for a company that is thinking about listing on the Main Market or Nomu. It tests your numbers against the listing criteria, then your board, finances and compliance against the CMA's rules. It is a first step before professional advice, not a decision by any regulator.
Rules checked against the official texts on 12 October 2026.
Three steps, one plan
1.Tell us the basics
Market value, free float, years in business. The listing criteria are checked as you type.
2.Answer questions in six areas
Yes, in progress, no or not sure. Every question says why it matters and which rule it comes from.
3.Get your plan
What to fix now, next and later, with licensed firms that can do the work.
What the assessment covers
Board and governance
How your board, committees and core policies are set up.
Financial reporting and audit
Your audited accounts, finance team and internal controls.
Zakat and tax
Your standing with ZATCA: Zakat, VAT and related filings.
Legal and regulatory
Licences, contracts, disputes and the rules that apply to your sector.
Operations and controls
Risk, IT, data protection and how the business runs day to day.
Investor readiness
Your story, advisers and ability to keep the market informed.
How long it takes
The number of questions depends on the market you aim for and your sector: 44 to 70, about 9 to 24 minutes from a quick read to a careful one. Nomu adds 13 optional good-practice questions that do not change your score.
How the verdict works
Each answer is yes, in progress, no or not sure. Yes counts in full, in progress counts half, and no or not sure count nothing. The verdict needs the listing criteria met and the critical items closed, so it can be stricter than the score alone.
